Coast Watcher at the Ballinglen Gallery

July 4th, 2017

Very pleased with the installation and response to my exhibition in the gallery at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation.
Coast Watcher was dedicated to the memory of Peter Maxwell, founder of Dolan/Maxwell and the Ballinglen Arts Foundation. Peter was a great colleague, mentor, friend/family and he is the Coast Watcher, happiest in Ballycastle (Ireland) in the cottage he designed with typical brilliance, and spending evenings looking North at the Atlantic from the glass porch. Peter believed in doing right, with proper attention and focus. I’m a better person and so fortunate to have been guided by him for so long. Rest in peace, Peter.

Coast Watcher– a exhibition of new and recent works in Ireland

May 12th, 2017

I am very pleased to announce 2 exhibitions for 2017.

First is a solo exhibition, Coast Watcher at the Ballinglen Gallery, Ballinglen Arts Foundation. The works in this exhibition have developed from residencies at Ballinglen in 2013, 2015 & 2016. I am pleased to have this opportunity to show the progression of works made over a four year period.

I am also deeply honored to be part of the Ballinglen Arts Foundation’s 25th Anniversary celebrations. The success of the Foundation is tribute to the vision hatched in 1992 by Margo Dolan and Peter Maxwell for a fellowship residency program that hosts international artists and their families in the remote and warm-welcoming community of Ballycastle on the extraordinary coast of North County Mayo, Republic of Ireland.  Coast Watcher is dedicated to the memory of Peter Maxwell.

The second exhibition is being planned for November and much nearer to home.
More about that soon.

Two for Connecticut

July 9th, 2015

I am very pleased to be working with Amy Simon Fine Art in Westport, Connecticut. Amy Simon opened her handsome gallery in 2005 in the Sasco Mill, a 200 year old landmark building, furthering her distinguished career after positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim and Marlborough Galleries. ASFA mixes mid-career and emerging American artists with Contemporary blue chip editions and Contemporary Asian artists. It is my good fortune to connect with Amy who has long represented two artists I’ve long admired, Steven Sorman and David Shapiro. Please visit Amy Simon Fine Art for a look a carefully selected group of my prints, including Intergrade and Orchard.

Cerulean Arts To Impress Upon noted in Metro Philadelphia

March 14th, 2015

Several friends informed me that they’d spotted Metro Philadelphia’s notice for our exhibition at Cerulean Arts. Gallery talk is March 15 at 2pm. The image illustrated is Dan Miller’s beautiful woodcut. It’s unfortunate that Metro listed it is as my work.

A gathering of Philadelphia print makers

November 30th, 2014

This exhibition is a labor of love from Amze & Francine and very nicely done. Proud to be a part of it and showing with so many friends and respected artists. I’ll re-post an image. This one makes me want to do more work restricted to black and white.

Visions in Print at Cheltenham Center for the Arts

October 18th, 2014

I am very pleased to be a part of this exhibition at Cheltenham Art Center. It is an impressive group of over 30 artists and many of them are respected friends. It will be interesting to go back to Cheltenham. One of my earliest exhibition experiences was at Cheltenham circa 1985. I submitted a large oil on canvas to the annual juried exhibition and was awarded a prize.
